Terms & Conditions

Dogs are the main pets we care for. Where the word 'dog' is used in these terms, this also applies to all other pets.

Quality Pet Care (QPC) reserves the right to refuse to care for any dog we or the carer consider to be unsuitable or is visibly unwell at the time of leaving the dog with the carer. QPC will not be liable for any costs incurred by the dog’s owner in the event of such cancellation and a refund will not be issued.

Owners must only register dogs that are non-aggressive but should the dog(s) show aggressive tendencies to the carer or their family or should the dog(s) behaviour become uncontrollable or a nuisance beyond reasonable acceptance, the dog(s) will be placed in an alternative safe environment and any additional costs will be met by the owner. A refund for the booking will not be issued.

NOTE: IF YOUR DOG IS OUT OF CONTROL, BOISTEROUS OR DIFFICULT TO MANAGE IT IS IMPORTANT YOU LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE TO ENSURE WE PROVIDE THE MOST SUITABLE CARER. IF YOUR DOG IS AGGRESSIVE, OUR SERVICE WILL NOT BE SUITABLE.

We do not accept any dogs registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 or Dog Hybrids registered under the Dangerous Wild Animal Act 1976 (e.g., Wolf Hybrids) for Home Boarding. We do not board bitches in season or puppies under the age of 6 months.

Delivery and collection times and dates must be adhered to as the carers may have other bookings. If a booking needs to be extended for any reason QPC will try to keep the client’s dog(s) with the existing carer. If this is not possible, the dog(s) will be relocated to another suitable carer. The additional carer’s fee, and an administration fee of £20, will be payable by the owner.

Sufficient food and supplies must be left with the carer at the time of leaving the dog(s). If any dog(s) requires medication owners should discuss this with the carer during the introductory meeting. Any additional supplies that are purchased by the carer must be reimbursed by the owner on their dog’s return. If any damage is caused to carer’s property, the owner agrees to reimburse the carer or replace the damaged property.

All dogs must be vaccinated, wormed and free from fleas before being placed with the carer. Dogs should not be ‘on heat’ or in season when being placed with the carer – this will result in cancellation of the booking and a refund will not be issued.

Should the Emergency contact not be available, agreement is given for QPC to make any decision necessary regarding the dog’s health, providing it is acting in the best interest of the dog(s) and is on the advice of a qualified Veterinary Surgeon where possible. All veterinary bills incurred during the period of the booking will be paid by the owner.

All dogs luggage is left at owner’s risk and as dogs play items may be destroyed or lost. QPC advise your dog to travel light.

To confirm a booking the DEPOSIT and THESE FORMS (completed and signed) must be returned to QPC. The balance should be paid to QPC at least 31 days prior to care, or upon date of booking, if within 31 days.

If any booking is cancelled by the owner there will be a minimum administration charge of £50 deducted from the following refunds:

28 days or more notice of cancellation - full refund.

21 - 27 days notice of cancellation - 50% refund.

14 – 20 days notice of cancellation - 25% refund.

Less than 14 days notice - no refund.

Other reasonable costs incurred by QPC may also be deducted from the refund. In the unlikely event that the booked QPC Carer is unable to complete a booking, for whatever reason, QPC will complete the original booking with another suitable carer and a refund may not be issued. If no other carers are available, we will refund the booking. We do not allow visitors once dogs are in care as this may upset the dog’s holiday experience.

We are unable to accept GPS trackers or any other electrical/ electronic items in your dog’s luggage. Please pack as light as possible as you would for your own travel.

If any dog(s) is/are not collected, or the owner/ Emergency contact has not contacted QPC within 7 days after the due return date stated on the booking form, it will be considered that the dog(s) has/have been abandoned. QPC reserve the right to place the dog(s) with an animal charity. Any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the owner.

I hereby confirm that I am the owner of the dog(s) named on the booking form and agree to the terms and conditions as stated above. I also authorise QPC:

To act as guardian, during my absence, and to take any action which is considered suitable to protect and keep in good health the above-named dog(s). I also confirm that I will be responsible for any costs which might be incurred, either veterinary or other, as a result of sickness, accident, or damage caused to or by the above-named dog(s) and that I will pay such costs or expenses on demand. I also understand that no liability will be attached to QPC or the dog(s) carer.

These terms may change from time to time and you agree your booking is made with our latest terms which can be found on our website.
